LIONS BEGIN THREE-GAME SEASON-ENDING HOMESTAND vs. BOLD

The York University Lions women’s volleyball team is firmly in control of its own destiny as they wind down the 2022-23 regular season.

They currently occupy the final playoff spot in the OUA, and, unless they lose out, will make the postseason. Even were that to happen, however, Toronto would still need to win its final three matches to sneak in, as York has the tiebreaker with the Blues due to sets won in head-to-head matchups.

The Lions will finish their regular season at home, beginning Saturday night against the TMU Bold. The last time the Bold made the short trip up to Tait McKenzie Centre, they received a rude welcome from the hosts. York took down TMU in straight sets in a match that was never particularly close. The Lions will look to duplicate that performance and punch their postseason ticket.
