EDMONTON – A trio of Pandas were honoured by Canada West on Wednesday morning, as Canada West unveiled their 2021/22 women’s volleyball All-Star teams.
Fifth-year Panda Kory White earned a First Team All-Star spot for a fourth time in her career, previously doing so in 2018, 2019, and 2020. Fellow fifth-year Panda Julia Zonneveld earned a second career CW All-Star nod, being named the the second team in 2021/22, to go along with a second team spot in 2020.
First-year Panda Meghan John was named to the CW All-Rookie Team.
White finished second in CW with 245 kills in 18 matches, adding 114 digs and 20 aces. The Pandas Volleyball Club product also set a the new conference all-time record for kills and points earlier this season.
Zonneveld finished third on the Pandas with 111 kills in 14 matches, adding 130 digs and 15 aces. She is one of only four Pandas to ever record over 1,000 digs in her varsity career.
John, meanwhile, played in 59 of the Pandas 63 sets at middle this season, recording 55 kills, 41 digs, and 41 total blocks,
The U SPORTS No. 5 ranked Pandas will head to Langley this weekend, for the second round of CW playoffs, hosted by the Trinity Western Spartans.
