Queen’s Men’s Volleyball lose to Brock in five sets

Queen’s Men’s Volleyball fell to the Brock Badgers 3-2 (25-23, 21-25, 25-19, 24-26, 12-15) Saturday night in St. Catharines, Ont.

Up 2-1 in the fourth set, the Gaels nearly pulled out the win but Brock forced a fifth and deciding set with an extra points win, which Queen’s would drop by three points.

Erik Siksna led Queen’s with a game-high 20 kills while also adding six digs and four assists.

Chris Zimmerman led the Gaels in both assists (42) and digs (seven) in the loss.

With the defeat, Queen’s record fell to 10-8 and the team currently sits in fifth place in the OUA standings.

The Gaels will close out their regular season on the road next weekend, taking on the Waterloo Warriors in a doubleheader on Friday, Feb. 17 and Saturday, Feb. 18 in Waterloo, Ont.
