U SPORTS announced their latest top 10 rankings, naming three Mount Royal teams as top squads in the nation.
MRU men’s volleyball team earned the sixth overall ranking in the nation. The Cougars collected two 3-0 wins over the UFV Cascades, improving their record to 12-6. Mount Royal will host the Winnipeg Wesmen next weekend at Kenyon Court. Read about the men’s volleyball rankings on usports.ca.
Mount Royal’s women’s hockey team held onto the number two ranking after sweeping Regina, winning 2-1 on Friday and 3-0 on Saturday to move them to 18-4-0. Cougars men’s hockey came in at number five in the latest U SPORTS rankings. Mount Royal visited Regina last weekend, winning both games and extending their winning streak to nine games.
