Trinity Western remains on top, Mustangs crack the Top 10

The Trinity Western Spartans remained the top-ranked team in the U SPORTS women’s volleyball Top 10. TWU (16-2) is spending its eighth straight week atop the table.

The Western Mustangs (13-2) made the biggest move of the week, as they jumped into the Top 10 rankings at the No. 7 spot after sweeping the Toronto Varsity Blues in a two-game series last week.

The former No. 2-ranked Mount Royal Cougars (13-5) moved down to No. 3, while the Brock Badgers (13-2) moved up from third place to No. 2.

Rounding out the rankings are No. 4 UFV Cascades (13-5), No. 5 UBC Thunderbirds (14-4), and No. 6 Queen’s Gaels (10-4), who moved up three spots from last week. The Western Mustangs (13-2) join the rankings this week at No. 7, while No. 8 Waterloo Warriors (14-2) and No. 9 McMaster Marauders (11-3) both drop one position. Manitoba Bisons (12-6) remain at No. 10.

The next Top 10 matchup is on February 3rd as the No. 6 Gaels host the No. 7 Mustangs.
