Golden Bears remain in top spot, Queen’s and Brandon crack Top 10

Alberta remains atop the U SPORTS men’s volleyball Top 10  thanks to their sweep of the TRU Wolfpack last weekend. The Golden Bears (19-1) have held down the top spot in the weekly ranking all season. In fact, the top five spots all remained the same, with McMaster (14-0), Sherbrooke (10-1), Trinity Western (15-5) and Mount Royal (13-4) all holding steady.

There was movement lower in the rankings, as the Queen’s Gaels (8-6) entered the list at No. 7, and Brandon Bobcats (11-7) came in at No. 9. Montréal (10-3) moved up one spot from No. 7 to No. 6, while Saskatchewan (12-6) held steady at No. 8 and UBC (11-7) slipped from No. 9 to No. 10.

This week sees five Top 10 matchups on the schedule. In Canada West, there are a pair of series on Friday and Saturday, as No. 8 Saskatchewan Huskies will visit the No. 9 Brandon Bobcats, while Mount Royal heads up to Edmonton to face the top-ranked Golden Bears. On Sunday, attention shifts to the RSEQ, as No. 3 Sherbrooke will visit No. 6 Montréal.
