Aimee Lemire and Teah Cook led Queen’s Women’s Volleyball with a game-high 13 kills each as the Gaels (No. 10) defeated the RMC Paladins 3-1 (25-15, 24-26, 25-9, 25-18) Sunday at RMC to sweep their weekend home-and-home series.
Lemire (Paris, Ont.) also recorded three blocks and one serving ace while Cook (Georgetown, Ont.) added three blocks in the win for Queen’s.
Natalie Crews (Vancouver, B.C.) led the Gaels with a game-high four blocks while Shea Baker (Vancouver, B.C.) recorded nine assists.
Queen’s improved their record to 8-2 with the win and remain in second place in the OUA East Division standings, behind only the Toronto Varsity Blues (10-0). RMC’s record fell to 0-10 with the loss.
The Gaels will close out the regular season with a doubleheader against the York Lions (7-3) next weekend at the ARC. The Lions are coming off a 3-0 loss to the Varsity Blues last Saturday. Queen’s will host York Friday at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
