Queen’s Men’s Volleyball beat RMC for series sweep

Queen’s Men’s Volleyball concluded their weekend sweep of the RMC Paladins with a 3-1 (25-15, 25-18, 21-25, 25-23) victory at RMC Sunday.

It was the third win in a row for the Gaels (No. 5) and improved their record to 8-1. Queen’s is second in the OUA East Division standings, a half-game behind the Toronto Varsity Blues (9-1).

Lachlan McBride (Vancouver, B.C.) led the way for the Gaels in the win, recording 12 kills, four digs, two serving aces, and two blocks.

Zig Licis (Louisville, CO) recorded 10 kills and seven digs and Cole Duncanson (St. Catherines, Ont.) added seven kills and four blocks.

Liam Wilson (Toronto, Ont.) finished with a game-high 24 assists and Lukas Kaufman (Stratford, Ont.) recorded a game-high 15 digs in the win.

The Gaels will return to the court next weekend, hosting the York Lions in a doubleheader at the ARC, playing Friday at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 8 p.m. The Lions are 2-7 and coming off a loss to the Varsity Blues.
