Blues End 2021 Undefeated

The University of Toronto Blues women’s volleyball team swept the Trent Excalibur 3-0 on Sunday.

The University of Toronto Blues women’s volleyball team swept the Trent Excalibur 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-15) in Peterborough on Sunday, November 28.

TORONTO STATS: The Blues were led by outside hitters Julia Murmann and  Asya Dogruer. Murmann had one block and seven kills to finish with eight points, while Dogruer led all scorers with a game-high 11 points, adding two aces and two blocks to go along with her seven kills.

Middle Jenna Woock had a sensational .429 hitting percentage on Sunday, finishing with four kills on seven attempts. The Richmond Hill product also had two service aces and two solo blocks, tying Murmann with eight points.

Libero Sophia Currier led the defence with nine kills, while setter Hayley Goodwin had 26 assists.

Toronto heads into the break with a 4-0 record, dropping one set so far on the season.

UP NEXT: The Blues will resume their season on Saturday, January 8 as they take on the Nipissing Lakers at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport. First serve is at 5:00 p.m.
