Savannah Purdy and the Spartans completed an undefeated preseason with a 3-0 sweep at the Dino-Cougar Tourney by beating Alberta,

Purdy’s weekend of dominance started on Friday as the third-year outside-hitter put down a game-high of 26 kills to average 5.5 points per set, and 4.9 kills per set. Purdy’s 26 kills would have bested TWU’s single-game kill record in Canada West conference play, with the current record being set at 25.

The third-year outside didn’t stop her excellence on Friday, totalling 44 kills over the nine sets she played throughout all three games.

With their 2021-22 preseason completed, Purdy and the Spartans will be gearing up for their home-opener on Nov. 5th, starting their Canada West campaign for the year.
