REMPLE NAMED 1ST TEAM ALL-CANADIAN

KINGSTON, Ont. – Trinity Western men’s volleyball senior outside hitter Henry Rempel (Swift Current, Sask.) was named U SPORTS First Team All-Canadian at the All-Canadian Awards Ceremony in Kingston, Ont., the site of the 2024 championship tournament.
 
The fourth-year human kinetics student had a break-out season in 2023-24. He led the Spartans, and most of Canada West, finishing with 4.23 kills per set (1st in CW), 5.0 points per set (1st in CW), 398 kills (2nd in CW),.309 hitting percentage (4th in CW), 39 service aces (4th in CW), 0.41 aces per set (5th in CW).
 
This is the first time that Rempel has received All-Canadian honours.

The No. 4 Spartans open the U SPORTS Championship Thursday with a quarter-final matchup against host No. 5 Queen’s at 6 p.m. (ET). All games can be seen on all CBC Sports digital platforms, including the CBC Sports YouTube Channel.
