Provincial champion Millam set to join the WolfPack

KAMLOOPS – Head coach Chad Grimm and the Thompson Rivers WolfPack women’s volleyball team are pleased to announce that skilled outside hitter Lucy Millam will join the team for the 2022-23 season.

“We are excited to have Lucy join our team next season as she comes off a very successful summer with 18-U Team B.C. and recently was a member of the AAA high school girl’s provincial championship team as well as being named MVP of the championship tournament,” said WolfPack head coach Chad Grimm.

Originally from Victoria, Millam will become the second player on the ‘Pack from Vancouver Island when she joins Erin Mutch, who currently leads the team in kills.

Playing club with Momentum Volley, Millam points to the welcoming environment of the WolfPack program as a big reason for commitment.

“TRU offered me the academic courses I wanted to pursue, and the WolfPack volleyball program is an inclusive, supportive environment that I am excited to become a valued player in,” said Millam. “I can’t wait to start playing with them and bring my energy to the ‘Pack.”

Millam will join the WolfPack after achieving everything possible at the high school level. The 5-11 attacker led the Mt. Douglas Rams to the AAA Senior Girls Provincial title this past December. Millam was named the tournament MVP after the Rams won the title in a 3-2 victory over the W.L. Seaton Sonics from Vernon.

Also a member of team B.C., Millam is set to add another talented option to the WolfPack’s attack

“Lucy will add a well-rounded skill set to our team and increase the depth of our outside hitting position moving forward,” said Grimm.
