KAMLOOPS – An ultra-athletic libero is set to join the Thompson Rivers WolfPack women’s volleyball team for the 2022-23 after head coach Chad Grimm announced the commitment of Olivia Andulajevic.
“Olivia is a multi-sport athlete who has played both soccer and volleyball at an elite level,” said Grimm. “That level of athleticism is apparent when she is on the court, and she is a comfortable communicator that will be beneficial as a leader of the back court.”
Joining the team from Victoria, Andulajevic slots in alongside fellow recruit Lucy Millam as players from the Island that have committed to the WolfPack this season.
“I chose TRU because it offers a vast array of academic program opportunities as well as a great community feel,” said Andulajevic. “Being an athlete for Momentum Volley, I have had such a positive experience and when coming to the WolfPack, it instantly had an identical feel.”
A member of the B.C. provincial U-18 team, Andulajevic attends the high-intensity Canadian Sports School as well as plays club volleyball with Momentum Volley. The 5-6 libero appreciated the close-knit team environment of the WolfPack.
“The WolfPack players and coaching staff were super welcoming and it was evident that their team environment was special,” said Andulajevic. “I am really looking forward to contributing to the growth of the ‘Pack in the years to come.”
With long-time libero Katie Ludvig and her 363 digs graduating from the program this season, Grimm sees Andulajevic as someone that can help out the WolfPack’s serve receive game.
“Olivia has a great touch on the ball and can already serve receive at a high level,” said Grimm. “This is an area we are looking to upgrade on our team, and I think she will push our current group right away. We are looking forward to having Olivia join us in the Fall!”
