The marquee match-up this weekend will see the top two teams in the PACWEST go head-to-head when the Avalanche host the Mariners on Friday and Saturday.
The Avalanche have won three of four to open the second semester and remain on top of the Conference with six matches to go. They split with the Mariners to open the season back in October losing in five, then winning in five sets.
Arguably the Mariners are the hottest team in the PACWEST winning eight in a row dating back to the first semester. They have two matches in hand as well, will play these two on the road, then visit Camosun next weekend before finishing the season at home.

CBC Bearcats @ Douglas Royals – Friday January 26, 8:00pm | WATCH HERE
This is a very important match up this weekend with two points separating them in the standings. The Royals hold the final playoff spot with the Bearcats looking to take that over.
They split their first weekend series in October, with the Royals winning in three sets before the Bearcats took the next one in five.
The Royals have stumbled to open the second semester winning once in four tries. The Bearcats split last weekend and will look to try and build off that momentum fighting for a playoff spot.

Capilano Blues @ Camosun Chargers – Friday January 26, 8:00pm | WATCH HERE
The Chargers sit third while the Blues are on the outside looking in at the playoffs.
They meet for the second time this season after the Chargers swept the weekend at Capilano in three and four sets in November.
The Chargers dropped both sets last weekend at COTR but are home now for their next six matches looking to gain some ground. The Blues meanwhile are six points out of a playoff spot and split last weekend at CBC.
