CALGARY – Jackson Meier of the University of Calgary Dinos men’s volleyball team has been named to the Canada West All-Star Team, the conference office announced Tuesday morning.
The fourth-year middle from right here in Calgary tallied a career-high 155 kills this season. Being named to a second team all-star, this marks the first postseason honour for Meier, who had a career year in terms of hitting efficiency. He hammered home those 155 kills on just 257 attempts for a .475 hitting percentage – by far the best on the team. Meier also registered 76 total blocks – including 15 solo – this season for the Dinos.
