High-flying WolfPack look to keep momentum going in home openers

Weekend Story
 
KAMLOOPS – After a strong start to the season on the road the Thompson Rivers WolfPack men’s volleyball team will take to home court for the first time in 2023 this weekend.
 
Doing battle at 7:15 p.m. on Friday and 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, the ‘Pack (1-1) will face the Calgary Dinos (2-0) will do battle in the TCC.

TRU picked up a big victory to kick off their season last weekend. After falling 3-1 to the CW Coaches Preseason Poll No. 1 ranked Alberta Golden Bears on Friday, TRU rallied to beat the reigning CW champions on Saturday by a score of 3-2.
 
Calgary meanwhile started their season off with a bang. The Dinos, earned victories of 3-1 and 3-0 over the MacEwan Griffins in Calgary.
 
The teams split the two games that they played last season in CW play.

1: There will be hot food and a beer garden served up inside the TCC all season long.
 
2: The ‘Pack won four of their first six games at home last season.
 
3: Friday night is set to be a rowdy one inside the Tournament Capital Centre with over 70 youth volleyball teams in Kamloops for the Jr. Howler Tournament.

10: WolfPack setter Sam Elgert is second in the conference with ten assists-per-set.
