Golden Bears remain in top spot, Carabins unlock the secret to the top 5

The Alberta Golden Bears remain atop the U SPORTS men’s volleyball rankings, having held down the top spot in the weekly ranking all season. No. 2 Sherbrooke (15-6, 2-0) and No. 3 McMaster (18-2, 1-0) stayed in the top three.

No. 5 Montréal (11-5, 2-0) jumped up three spots this week after beating Laval in their playoff series.

No. 4 Trinity Western (18-6, 2-0) moved up a spot as No. 6 Saskatchewan (17-7, 2-1) and No. 7 Windsor (15-5, 1-0) held steady. No. 8 Calgary (12-12, 2-0), No. 9 Toronto (13-7, 1-0), and No. 10 York (13-7, 1-0) all entered the rankings this week.

This week, No. 3 McMaster will face No. 10 York in an OUA semifinal on Saturday, while the Canada West best-of-three semifinals (No. 6 Saskatchewan at No. 1 Alberta, No. 8 Calgary at No. 4 Trinity Western) both get underway on Friday.
