The No. 9 ranked Varsity Blues men’s volleyball team got their first win of the season in a three-set sweep (25-23, 25-23, 25-22) over the Rams on Saturday, November 20.
TORONTO STATS: The Blues had an offensive explosion finishing with 45 kills, 15 more than the Rams. Despite the discrepancy in kills, the Rams kept it close, with their biggest margin of defeat being a mere three points.
Outside hitters Evan Falaradeau and Mitchell Neuert were hard to stop on Saturday as they finished with 17 and 15 kills respectively. Falardeau added an ace and a solo block to finish with a game-high 19 points.
Jasper Neale, a California native, was a force in the middle providing nine kills as well as being a threat from the service line with one ace.
Veteran setter Zane Grossinger led the team with 35 assists and was also a solid rock in the backcourt with a total of nine digs.
UP NEXT: The Blues are on the road as they will face the Trent Excalibur on Friday, November 26. First serve is at 8:00 p.m.
