CW 2024-25 volleyball schedules announced

KAMLOOPS – All eyes will turn to the TCC on November 1 after that date was announced as the home opener for the Thompson Rivers WolfPack volleyball teams in the Canada West 2024-25 regular season schedule release.
The WolfPack teams each face a 20 game schedule in 2024, with ten of those contests coming at home inside the Tournament Capital Centre. Starting their season on the road out in Winnipeg against the Manitoba Bisons, TRU will host the rival UBC Okanagan Heat in their first home games of the year on Nov. 1 and 2.
TRU’s schedule will also feature home games against the: TWU Spartans (Nov. 22 & 23), Winnipeg Wesmen (Jan. 10 & 11), MRU Cougars (Feb. 7 & 8) and Brandon Bobcats (Feb. 14 & 15).
With a reduced schedule this year that features fewer games against opponents outside of B.C., both the women’s and men’s versions of the ‘Pack will be looking to build on strong 2023-24 campaigns.
The WolfPack women earned their way back into the CW postseason with a dramatic final weekend sweep over the MRU Cougars. That trip to the playoffs was the sixth in program history.
While the WolfPack men fell just short of qualifying for the playoffs they battled right until the very end in an emotional season that was about much more than results on the court. Pat Hennelly was named both the CW and U SPORTS Coach of the Year for his efforts.
CW playoffs begin on February 21 for both the men and the women while the 2024-25 U SPORTS National Championships will take place from March 14-16 in Winnipeg for the women and March 21-23 in Brandon, MB for the men.
