KAMLOOPS, B.C. – Trinity Western opened the WolfPack Invitational with a 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-14, 25-20) win over Fraser Valley Thursday at the TRU Gym.

QUOTABLE
Adam Schriemer, TWU Head Coach
“I thought it was a really difficult game to play well consistently. I thought UFV played in a way that put a lot of pressure on us in lots of different ways and made us uncomfortable in lots of different ways. But the more you think about it, that’s just another Friday or Saturday night in Canada West. The lesson is how can we get more comfortable in the reality of playing Canada West volleyball each and every night. There are ups and downs in Canada West volleyball, so our ability to be steady and be comfortable within the uncomfortable is our challenge. One of the ways to do that is to rely on your teammates and I thought that’s what happened today. Jackson Corneil (Surrey, B.C.) and Cory Schoenherr (Waterloo, Ont.) played the middle position at such an elite level today. Their leadership, consistency and performance tonight was impressive and that’s what helped us get it done today.’
