Woock and Julien earn national recognitions at 2024 U SPORTS Women’s Volleyball All-Canadian Awards

HAMILTON, Ont. – Jenna Woock and Olivia Julien received national level honours at last night’s U SPORTS Women’s Volleyball Awards. Woock was named a Second Team All-Canadian and Julien was named to the All-Rookie Team, going into this intense weekend of competition.

Jenna Woock, Middle: U SPORTS Second Team All-Canadian

Playing in her fifth year of eligibility, Jenna Woock has been a great addition to McMaster’s team this year. The 6’1″ middle was named an OUA First Team All-Star and earned honours at the national level as a Second Team All-Canadian. In the OUA final last weekend against the Brock Badgers, Woock made huge contributions with five kills and four block assists. In the regular season, she made the second highest number of solo blocks for McMaster, with 23. The experienced player will look to make a big impact at the U SPORTS Championships this weekend being hosted by the Marauders.

Olivia Julien, Outside Hitter: U SPORTS All-Rookie Team

First year Olivia Julien has proven to be experienced beyond her years, as she picked up honours as the OUA Rookie of the Year. The life sciences major was named to the OUA All-Rookie Team and the U SPORTS All-Rookie Team, as well as being named an OUA Second Team All-Star. The Toronto local held the second-highest kills per set in the regular season for the Marauders with 2.54, fall behind only Sullie Sundara with 3.49. This is an impressive feat, with third year Sundara being a huge player for McMaster who earned OUA First Team All-Star recognition this year, as well as being named the OUA West Rookie of the year in her first year.
