The Nipissing Lakers women’s volleyball team dropped a pair of matches this past weekend on the road in Hamilton.
The Lakers fell 3-0 to the McMaster Marauders twice, both Friday and Saturday.
On the first night, the Lakers fell in three hard-fought sets, losing 3-0 (24-26, 20-25, 21-25).
Paige Owen led the Lakers with 11 kills, while Anna Marie Horvat added seven in the match.
The Lakers then dropped their match Saturday afternoon 3-0 (13-25, 24-26, 21-25).
Leading the Lakers offence once again was Owen with seven kills.
Nipissing heads into the bye week before preparing to face Lakehead in their home opener on Nov. 15.
