Published on

The Marauders men’s volleyball team is thrilled to announce the signing of newest recruit, Jason Wildeboer, to the program.

“We are excited to welcome Jason into our Marauders Men’s Volleyball Program,” said men’s volleyball Lead Assistant Coach, Ian Eibbitt. “His athleticism and physicality will add another dimension to our already strong setting core.”

Wildeboer attended Durham Christian High School and at the club level played with Durham Attack. Wildeboer has intentions of Sociology in the fall at McMaster.

“I chose McMaster because of its outstanding volleyball program and academic distinction,” explained Wildeboer.

Wildeboer most recently graduated Redeemer University with a BA in Physical Education and Psychology.

At the collegiate level, Wildeboer received the Canadian Collegiate Athletics Association (CCAA) Mel Stelck Exemplary Leadership Award in 2022. He was also named the Redeemer Royals Male Athlete of the year and Redeemer Royals men’s volleyball Most Valuable Player.

While playing with the Redeemers, Wildeboer became an OCAA silver medalist, an OCAA Championship All-Star and an OCAA Second Team All-Star this past 2021-22 season.

“One of Jason’s best attributes are his leadership qualities and he also brings a high level of experience from his previous playing days at Redeemer,” said Eibbitt. “We believe he will raise the competitive culture in our program allowing us to achieve our team’s goals this upcoming season.”
