WBB: Undefeated Spartans Hand Huskies a 3-1 Loss

LANGLEY, BC – After winning the opening set 25-20, the Saskatchewan Huskies felt the might of the undefeated Trinity Western Spartans, dropping the next three sets and ending the night with a 3-1 loss (25-20, 14-25, 17-25, 21-25).

The Huskies continued to lead as the set progressed, but trailing by four, 20-16 the Spartans went on a 4-0 run to tie the set at 20-20 after a Kampman kill.
  • After Rosetta Cyr regained the Huskies lead, Kampman again tied the set at 21-21. Blocks by Kaylee Plouffe and Tamar Bil and an Abbey Klein attack error gave the Spartans the two-point lead, 23-21 as the Huskies called their last timeout.  Out of the time out the Spartans again went to Kampman to find the floor to give TWU match point at 24-21.
