WATERLOO, Ont. – The TMU Bold men’s volleyball team is coming off a great comeback win last weekend, and they were back on the road hoping to bring that same energy on Friday night.
Entering the contest the Warriors land above the Bold in the standings, making these next two games against them a big opportunity for points.
In the opening set, Alex King took control of the outer parts of the court, making sure to complete each play with a dangerous kill.
The Bold put in incredible effort in the first to keep the Warriors behind, while Kai Higuchi did a great job saving the ball and keeping the play alive.

With a few points left to grab in the first, the Bold worked hard to keep the ball alive and limit any chances for the Warriors, but some errors led to losing the first set.
The second set was similar to the first; a tight game of volleyball going back and forth on the scoreboard.
The home team found a groove, but the Bold were fearless. Zach Morden, who has recently been starting for the Bold, made his presence known by recording the highest total blocks of the night with 3.0 blocks.
The Bold held off the Warriors during the second, hoping to stop them from reaching 25 points first. The Bold saved set point twice as they made their way up in points, but a service error gave the second set to the Warriors.
The first two sets ended with a matching score of 25-23 for the Warriors. This game showed how evenly matched these teams were, and one simple error could cost them the set.
Bobby Tang gave the visitors a boost, recording a hitting percentage of .429, best on the team, and committed just one error.
The Warriors led the third set the majority of the time, but for the Bold, this was all in preparation to face them again tomorrow.
With a final score of 25-17 for the Warriors, the Bold are end their night with a loss, but hope for a different outcome on Saturday. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
