VB: Huskies Return to the Court Set for the 2024-25 Season

SASKATOON, SK – The path to the postseason is set for the Huskie men’s and women’s volleyball teams as Canada West announces the 2024-25 regular season schedule.

October 18 will mark the official return to the court for the Huskie women, as they host the Regina Cougars to kick off the new campaign. For the Huskie men, they will have to wait until November 1 when the Mount Royal Cougars visit Saskatoon.

After a visit to Brandon, Manitoba the Dogs will then travel to Edmonton where the USask men will take on the defending Canada West and U SPORT Champion Alberta Golden Bears.

After a home weekend against Manitoba for the Huskie men’s team, Thompson Rivers Wolfpack will visit for a weekend of doubleheaders. In the new year, the Physical Activity Complex (PAC) will see a pair of home weekends featuring the MacEwan Griffins and UBCO Heat to close out the regular season home schedule.

After making three trips to British Columbia last season the Huskie men and women will head out west just once in 2024-25 when they head to Langley for a date with the Trinity Western Spartans, the defending Canada West women’s champions, to close out the season.

The Canada West playoffs will then begin on February 21 featuring a new format for the 2025 postseason. Teams finishing 7-10th in conference standings will face off in best-of-three playoff series before the quarter-final round begins on February 28. The remaining four teams will then compete in a single-eliminated Final Four format to determine the latest Canada West champion and who earns a spot in the 2025 U SPORTS Volleyball Championships taking place in Brandon (Men) and Winnipeg (Women).

Season Tickets for Huskie Volleyball, Soccer, Football, Basketball, and Hockey are available now at huskietickets.com and feature an all-new All-Access Ticket and Pack Perks for the 2024 Huskie Athletics season.
