TOP TEN RANKINGS

LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western has three teams in the Top 10 national rankings. Women’s volleyball debuts at No. 4 in the first U SPORTS women’s volleyball ranking, men’s volleyball drops two spots to No. 5 after a weekend split, while men’s rugby moves up three spots to No. 5 after a historic win.
 
The women’s volleyball team debut at No. 4 after starting the Canada West conference play 4-0, sweeping both the MacEwan Griffins and the Brandon Bobcats. The men’s volleyball team drops two spots after a split with the No. 8 Brandon Bobcats, losing 3-0 and winning 3-2 this past weekend in Langley, B.C. Men’s rugby jumps three spots to No. 5 after defeating No. 2 Victoria 34-27 last Saturday in Victoria, B.C.
 
Women’s volleyball continues conference play this week in a single match against the UBC Thunderbirds, while men’s volleyball has a bye weekend.

As official members of U SPORTS, the Spartans currently compete in 13 sports in the Canada West conference, including women’s and men’s soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey, cross country and track & field, as well as women’s rugby sevens. TWU also competes as an independent team in men’s rugby and women’s and men’s disc golf.
