Record number of WolfPack student-athletes honoured for academic achievements

KAMLOOPS – A total of 72 TRU WolfPack student-athletes were honoured Tuesday morning, as the ‘Pack held their annual Academic brunch.
 
47 members of the ‘Pack earned a spot as a 2023-24 U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian. To achieve U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian status a student-athletes must have used a year of eligibility in a U SPORTS sport and also achieved a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
 
Alongside those U SPORTS Academic All-Canadians were 25 TRU Scholar-Athletes. A TRU Scholar-Athlete is those who did not consume U SPORTS eligibility in 2023-24 and achieved a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

“Achieving the U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian or TRU Scholar-Athlete standard while performing at the highest level of university sport in Canada is an outstanding achievement and one that we are all proud of,” said TRU director of athletics and recreation Curtis Atkinson. “To achieve this high standard, our student-athletes have shown tremendous dedication, discipline, and leadership. I congratulate all of these recipients for this significant accomplishment.”
