Queen’s Women’s Volleyball dominates in weekend opener

KINGSTON, Ont. (Jan. 19, 2024) – Queen’s Women’s Volleyball comes out on top in straight sets (25-17, 25-19, 25-12) against York, Friday night at the ARC.

Queen’s established their dominance with a strong showing in the initial set, securing a convincing victory. This high level of performance persisted consistently throughout the subsequent sets.

Taking charge on the offensive front for the Gaels, Hannah Duchesneau recorded an impressive 12 kills. Mary Stewart contributed 11 kills and added two aces to the tally. Shea Baker secured 33 assists, now just 5 shy of her 1000th career assist.

With the victory, the Gaels improved their record to 10-2 on the season. Queen’s is set to face the Lions once more tomorrow, Saturday, January 20 at 6:00 P.M, at the Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC).
