Attention all athletes! The Ontario Volleyball Association has an exciting opportunity coming your way. We are looking for community leaders of all ages to take part in our very first Athlete Council!
As a member of the Athlete Council, you will have the opportunity to share your experiences, develop your leadership skills, represent your peers and have a voice in Ontario volleyball. We hope to see applications from OVA athletes that span across regions, clubs and programs. For our members who are competing in post-secondary institutions and who have been OVA members within the past 2 years, we also invite you to join this exciting new council.
The mission of these collective voices is to support the OVA strategic objectives through an athlete lens. As a member of the council, you will develop leadership skills and have personal development opportunities. Members will provide insight and input with respect to issues that impact athletes’ health, safety, and performance. Our Council Chair, Victoria Altomare, will encourage and facilitate exchanges of information and experiences about volleyball programs and initiatives through an athlete-centred lens.
Again, we are so excited about the Council and we encourage all interested participants to fill out the required online form and attach a one-page resume that outlines relevant experience and motivations.
