OUA champions enter nationals as No. 3 seed

The regining three-time Ontario University Athletics (OUA) champion Brock Badgers women’s volleyball team have drawn the No. 3 seed ahead of the upcoming national championship.  

Taking place in Hamilton at the Burridge Gym in McMaster University, the three-day tournament starts on Friday, March 15 and runs until Sunday, March 17. 

In their program history, the Badgers have been to two national championships, with their best finish being sixth in the 2021-22 season.  

After an 18-2 regular season, the Badgers went undefeated in postseason play. After a sweep of the Western Mustangs in quarter-final action, the Badgers encountered the TMU Bold who pushed them to the brink. Brock orchestrated a reverse sweep to win that semifinal contest before beating the McMaster Marauders in four sets in the Quigley Cup final on Friday, March 8. 

The No. 3 Badgers will go up against the No. 6 Acadia Axewomen at 8 p.m. EST on Friday, March 15. You can watch the game on the CBC Sports YouTube channel and get your tickets at https://mcmaster.universitytickets.com/.
