NO. 4 TORONTO TAKES THREE CLOSELY CONTESTED SETS TO WIN OVER YORK

Despite three tight sets that involved many momentum swings, it was the Blues who took all three, on route to a 3-0 win over the Lions.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Blues earned very similar victories in the first two sets of the game, downing York 25-21 and then 25-22.
  • The Lions led for the entirety of the third set, until the final two points when Toronto came back to tie it at 25, then received a service ace from Hope Kotun, followed by an Asya Dogruer kill to put York away.

NOTABLE NUMBERS

  • For the second time in a week, Olivia Kim had the most kills for her team, earning 11 for a three-point lead over Jessica Reynolds in that category.
  • The Lions out-aced the Blues in the contest 6-4.

LOOKING AHEAD

As part of the Queen’s Gaels’ super Saturday, the Lions head to Queen’s ARC to face the Gaels next Friday, Mar. 4 at 12pm.
