New Canadian Appreciation

​Announcing our “New Canadian Appreciation” night at the Beach Volleyball Park.

New Canadians are welcome to play beach volleyball free of charge at our Beach Volleyball Park in Burnside from 6pm to 8pm on Friday evenings. Groups of 10 or less will be able to reserve a court and will be given all the equipment needed to play beach volleyball. They’ll also be someone on site to offer helpful tips or explain the rules.
 
Location: 261 Commodore Drive, Burnside, NS
Dates: Friday evenings from August 21 to September 25
Times: 6:30pm – 8pm
Group size: 10 or less

This initiative is intended to help welcome New Canadians into the volleyball community and show our appreciation for the immeasurable contributions immigrants have made in our society.

All participants will be required to follow the COVID-19 Return to Volleyball protocols. More information about these protocols will be provided to groups when they reserve a court.

  • Parking is located behind the RBC 4Pad arena.
  • Players should bring necessary equipment such as suitable clothing, hat, towel, water bottle, sunscreen and snacks.
  • Come ready to play, there are no change rooms.
  • We will play rain or shine unless there is lightning.
  • Porta potties are on-site. 
  • Outdoor showers are available on site.
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash. 
  • No alcohol or smoking permitted on site.
