GAME FLOW
The Lancers started the day off hot, taking the first set of the game in extra points against the undefeated Marauders. The set, like most of the game, was a blow-for-blow action-packed affair with Dami Alalade and Luca Nastase giving the Lancers an edge.
The second set started off like the first as the Lancers and Marauders traded points. The Lancers would go down on the scoreboard but were able to stretch the set thanks to some great play by Alalade. The Marauders would come out on top 27-25, though the Lancers showed some incredible resilience.
McMaster would take a tight third set, despite the Lancers’ stout play, the fourth set saw the Lancers take an early lead over the Marauders 7-5, before the national ranked hosts came back to take the set and match.
