Windsor, Ont. – The best university men’s volleyball teams are coming to the City of Roses, as the University of Windsor hosts the 2026 U SPORTS men’s volleyball championship.
The announcement was made at a media event this afternoon at the state-of-the-art Toldo Lancer Centre, marking the first U SPORTS championship to be awarded in the venue that opened in 2022.
“U SPORTS is excited to bring our 2026 men’s volleyball championship to the City of Roses,” said U SPORTS Director of Sport Mark Alfano. “The University and City have a proven track record of hosting outstanding U SPORTS events. We are eager to watch student-athletes compete for a national title in the magnificent Toldo Lancer Centre for the first time.”
The 57th edition of the U SPORTS championship will feature eight teams, including the host Lancers, battling out over three days to hoist the Tantramar Trophy, first awarded in 1967 and named after the Tantramar Marshes near Mount Allison University in New Brunswick.
