HOWE SIGNS WITH STADE POITEVIN VOLLEY IN FRANCE’S TOP LEAGUE

LANGLEY, B.C. – Trinity Western University men’s volleyball star middle Jackson Howe (’22, Calgary) officially announced his signing with Stade Poitevin Volley, where he will compete in France’s top league – LNV Ligue A – starting this fall.

The high-flying middle heads over to France after an outstanding university career with the Spartans, which saw him named a Canada West Second Team All-Star in his final year, 2021-22, after averaging 2.18 kills per set and hitting .485 throughout the 2021-22 season. In his time at TWU, Howe was instrumental in helping the Spartans win three Canada West championships (2017-18, 2019-20 and 2021-22) and one U SPORTS title (2018-19).

This summer, Howe exploded on the international scene with Canada during the Volleyball Nations League. Through his first 11 games, Howe is Canada’s leading scorer amongst middles, averaging 5.45 points per match, which has him fourth overall on the team.

Howe is the third recently graduated Spartan men’s volleyball player to ink a deal in Europe, joining setter Derek Epp (’22, Saskatoon), who signed Arago de Sète (LNV Ligue A) and middle Jordan Schnitzer (’22, Kelowna, B.C.), who will join SVG Lüneburg in Germany’s top league this fall.
