Gaels close out regular season with five-set loss to Waterloo

Queen’s Women’s Volleyball closed out their regular season Saturday in Waterloo, Ont. falling to the Waterloo Warriors 3-2 in five sets (25-18, 21-25, 14-25, 25-17, 8-15) in Waterloo, Ont.

After jumping out to a lead after the first set, Queen’s dropped the next two sets before forcing a fifth and deciding set. Waterloo ultimately took the last set and the match.

With the loss, the Gaels’ record fell to 11-9 and Queen’s will finish the regular season in seventh place in the OUA standings.

Hannah Duchesneau led Queen’s with a game-high 16 kills while adding 10 digs.

Mary Stewart had a team-high 16 digs while also adding 13 kills and five blocks.

Shea Baker recorded 41 assists while Amanda Siksna finished with eight blocks.

OUA Playoffs information will be shared by the conference early next week.
