Men’s hockey forward Nathan Dunkley and women’s volleyball middle Madison Hann have been named Huskies Athletes of the Week, sponsored by Freeman’s Little New York Halifax, for the week ending November 5, 2023.
Nathan Dunkley, a third year forward from Campbellford, ON, is the Huskies male athlete of the week for the week ending November 5, 2023.
Dunkley contributed five points (three goals and two assists) and a +5 plus/minus over two games this weekend.
In Friday night’s 5-0 win over Dalhousie, Dunkley scored two goals and added an assist, recording a +3 plus/minus, and was named Player of the Game.
In Saturday night’s 4-3 loss to STFX, Dunkley added a goal and an assist and was a +2.
Through ten games, Dunkley is tied for the team-lead with nine points (four goals and five assists). Dunkley and the Huskies will return to home ice this week, as they host UPEI on Wednesday night, and Acadia on Saturday night at the Dauphinee Centre. GET TICKETS

Madison Hann, a third year middle out of Conquerall Mills, NS, is the Huskies female athlete of the week for the week ending November 5, 2023.
Hann was instrumental in a pair of Huskies wins at the Memorial Sea-Hawks this weekend.
In Friday night’s three set win over Memorial, Hann led the Huskies with 15 points, recording a match-high five service aces and five blocks, as well as six kills.
In Saturday’s four set win over the Sea-Hawks, Hann chipped in three blocks, three kills and two service aces.
Through the first four games of the season, Hann leads the Huskies and ranks second in the AUS in both service aces (9) and assisted blocks (8), while ranking fourth in the conference in total blocks (12). Hann and the Huskies will be back on home court this weekend, as they host the Dalhousie Tigers on Sunday afternoon at the Homburg Centre. GET TICKETS
