Champions Cup opens ParaVolley Europe’s 2023 competition season

Nine teams will gather in Dresden from April 22-23 to capture European sitting volleyball’s prestigious club title at the 2023 Men’s Champions Cup.

Defending champions OKI Fantomi Sarajevo of Bosnia and Herzegovina will aim for their 11th gold medal in the continental top-flight club competition.

The Bosnian club will face tough competition, including hosts and German champions Dresdner SC 1898, bronze medallists Muzduli Budapest of Hungary, L’Abbondanza del Pane Nola of Italy and IOK Zagreb of Croatia.

Completing the impressive lineup of teams are Kiyv Ukraine, IOK Borac of Serbia, KS Indra Kazmierz of Poland and Karaman Ozel Idare SC of Turkey.

The nine teams will be divided into three groups of three teams to play in a round robin format. The top two teams of each pool will advance to the Playoffs. The winners of the Playoffs will form a new round-robin group on Sunday, April 24, to play for the medals, while the losers will play for positions 4-6. The third-ranked teams of the original pools will continue to play for positions 7-9.
