Sept. 28, 2023: Canada’s men’s team is in one of three volleyball Olympic Qualification Tournament (OQT) pools, with teams vying for a spot in the Paris 2024 Games. Canada is in Pool C competing in Xi’An, China, beginning on Sept. 30.
The pool consists of host China, Poland, Argentina, Netherlands, Canada, Mexico, Belgium, and Bulgaria. Canada’s first match is against Netherlands on Sept. 30 (1 pm local time, 1 am ET)
Each pool is played in a single round robin format and is ranked per the standard team rankings system. The top two ranked teams per pool qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Twelve teams per gender participate in the volleyball competition at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

Canada’s women’s team just completed its OQT, finishing third in its pool, just one point behind the second-place finisher, Serbia. Dominican Republic won the pool.
