Canada is fifth at the Pan Am Cup Final 6

Canada defeated Mexico 3-2 (23-25, 25-23, 25-19, 15-25, 16-14) on Friday, September 9 to finish fifth at the 2022 NORCECA Women’s Pan American Cup Final Six in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

“I think the match was a little bit like a roller coaster for both teams having up and downs in the whole game. Of course, I´m happy that it ended with a win for us and that we showed that we are a team that can win games,” said Carolyn O’Dwyer, coach of Team Canada.

This was Canada’s second win of the event, also coming against Mexico in pool play. They finished the tournament 2-4.

Dominican Republic defeated the USA in the gold-medal match, with Puerto Rico beating Cuba for third place.
