The Badgers emerged victorious over the Gryphons in Guelph.
The Brock Badgers women’s volleyball team battled with the Guelph Gryphons as they earned an impressive 3-1 win (19-25, 25-12, 25-21, 25-10) on Friday, Nov. 15 at the Guelph Gryphons Athletic Centre.
Fourth-year right-side hitter Sadie Dick once again led the way for the Badgers with 19.5 points off of 16 kills, 2.5 blocks and one service ace.
The Badgers took an early lead in the first set but could not hang on as the Gryphons battled back to take a 1-0 lead.
An impressive second set for the Badgers started with a nine-point run, winning the set by 13 points.
The third set was tight as Brock pushed aside Guelph and emerged victorious by a score of 25-21.
Brock never looked back as they dominated the fourth and final set, winning 25-10 to take the win.
The Badgers led the hitting percentage department with a .354 hitting percentage, besting the Gryphons’ .140.
Mackenna Knox had a game-high with 33 assists, followed by Emma Baruchelli with seven blocks and Dick with 12 digs in the contest.
Up next, the Brock Badgers women’s volleyball will rematch the Guelph Gryphons on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 4 p.m at the Guelph Gryphons Athletic Centre. The game will be available to watch on OUA.tv.
