Registration for the 2021 OVA Beach Championships will open on Monday, July 26 at 9:00 a.m. on the Membership Registration System (MRS). The marquee event for the OVA beach season will return to Ashbridges Bay in Toronto for the final two weeks of August (21/22 and 28/29) and will be the first OVA provincial championship event since 2019.
In order to compete in a single division at the Beach Ontario Championships, athletes (each partner) must have participated in a minimum of one (1) OVA Beach Tour event in each age group they want t o qualify for. Exceptions apply to Region 1 athletes, who do not require the minimum one competition entry. For exceptional circumstances, athletes must present their case to OVA Beach Ad Hoc Committee by Friday August 13th, 2021. Exemptions need to be emailed to Kelvin Cheng (kcheng@ontariovolleyball.org) stating why the athlete/team couldn’t fulfill the required number of tournament and explain why the athlete/team should be accepted into Ontario Championships. Exemption requests for 16U or higher must be submitted directly by the athlete (not the parent).
All age groups will be two (2) day events with the exception of the 12UG and 13UB competitions, which will only be one day events. All participants in the Ontario Championships will receive a t-shirt.
On July 31/August 1, Beach Tour events at select locations will move to a full-day competition schedule to help prepare athletes for the longer event format at the Ontario Championships. To register for these Beach Tour events, please click here.
