Athlete Development Identification Process Extended

In response to the recent return to the provincial-wide Step 2 regulations, the identification (ID) process has been extended from it’s original February 20 deadline to March 13, 2022 in order to give athletes more time to gather and submit their footage. The OVA is hopeful that athletes will be able to return to on-court activities after the current restrictions are lifted.

If athletes were not able to capture in-game footage from tournaments in October, November or December, they can submit practice footage instead. This includes exhibition games or 6v6 games/scrimmages in the practice context. Gameplay from matches is preferred, but practice footage will continue to be accepted should athletes be unable to return to the courts and sand in the near-future.

The submission method remains unchanged and athletes are still required to submit their content through GMTM.

The full details of the updated ID process is explained on the Team Ontario website.

Any questions regarding the 2022 Athlete ID process can be directed to OVA Athlete Development Lead, Lauren Breadner.
