TOP TEN RANKINGS

LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western again has three teams in the Top 10 national rankings. In U SPORTS, a weekend loss women’s volleyball drops to No. 5, and men’s volleyball drops to No. 5 after a bye weekend, while in Men’s Rugby Coaches Choice National Top 10 the Spartans men’s rugby drops to No. 7 as the poll adjusts to men’s rugby championship placings.
 
The women’s volleyball team drops one spot to No. 5 after a 3-0 loss to the No. 1 UBC Thunderbirds. The men’s volleyball team drops one spot after a weekend off. Men’s rugby dropped two sports to No. 7 as the poll gets ready for next week’s national championship seeding.
 
Women’s and men’s volleyball continue Canada West conference play this weekend when they play the UBC Thunderbirds with a double header Friday, November 8. The Spartans men will also play in Vancouver against the Thunderbirds on Saturday night. Match times on Friday at the Langley Events Centre are set for 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and can be seen live on Canada West TV.

As official members of U SPORTS, the Spartans currently compete in 13 sports in the Canada West conference, including women’s and men’s soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey, cross country and track & field, as well as women’s rugby sevens.
