Stars of the Week

TORONTO – The Bold are pleased to announce the following student-athletes as the stars of the week, ending November 3.

Ayla Cross – Women’s Volleyball – 1st Year – Fashion Design

• Led the Bold to two wins over Trent on the weekend
• Recorded six blocks and two digs
• Registered three kills

Kaillie Hall – Women’s Basketball – 5th Year – Sport Media

• Powered the Bold to victories over Toronto and Algoma
• Scored 10-plus points in both contests
• Produced a game-high 21 points in the win over Toronto at the Metro Hoops Classic

Lyam Krapp – Men’s Volleyball – 4th Year – Biology

• Helped the Bold earn back-to-back wins over RMC on Friday and Saturday
• Tallied an outstanding 18 kills in Friday’s contest and 10 digs
• Recorded four kills and four digs on Saturday

Jia Lonardi – Women’s Volleyball – 4th Year – Psychology

• Played a pivotal role in TMU’s two wins
• Registered seven kills, five digs and five blocks in Saturday’s 3-0 victory
• Tallied 13.5 points for the entire match

Slava Melikov – Men’s Hockey – 1st Year – Chang School

• Helped the Bold go 1-1 last week
• Scored two goals in Saturday’s 5-4 win over Waterloo
• The final goal he scored was the game winner in the final minute of the game

Aaron Rhooms – Men’s Basketball – 4th Year – Business Management

• Was the high-scorer in both games for the Bold last week, a loss to Toronto and a win over Algoma
• Produced 23 points, five rebounds, four steals and three blocks against Toronto
• Scored 21 points on eight of 13 shooting attempts against Algoma
