Regina to Test Huskie Home Field Advantage in Final Regular Season Home Game presented by SaskTel
The Saskatchewan Huskie Football team is set to host the Regina Rams in another round of the 2024-25 U-Prairie Challenge, presented by SaskMilk. The Dogs have been perfect playing on the turf at Griffiths Stadium this season, having defeated the Calgary Dinos in double overtime and, most recently, are coming off back-to-back wins against the No. 9-ranked Alberta Golden Bears and No. 7-ranked Manitoba Bisons. In what will be their final home game, and penultimate game of the regular season, the Huskies will be looking to finish the season a perfect 4-0 at home. The Dogs will also be looking for revenge after suffering a 33-28 loss to Regina back in Week 2 at Mosaic Stadium.
Saturday’s game is also a pivotal matchup for both teams with the postseason just weeks away. The Huskies, currently 3-3 and in 3rd-place in the conference, sit in the centre of a tightly-contested Canada West playoff race with three teams tied at 2-4 below them. One of the teams is the Regina Rams, who are hoping to avoid a second consecutive season without a playoff game. Saskatchewan meanwhile, still has it eyes set on a home playoff game but will need two wins and help in order achieve that.
