Gaels fall to Varsity Blues in Toronto

Queen’s Men’s Volleyball lost 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 27-25) to the Toronto Varsity Blues Saturday afternoon in Toronto, Ont.

After a close first set loss, the Gaels dropped the second set by five points before forcing the third set to extra points, but ultimately dropping the set.

Zig Licis (Louisville, CO) had a game-high 12 kills, while Chris Zimmerman (Prince George, Ont.) recorded a game-high 32 assists, and Lhexen Rabit (Hamilton, Ont.) led Queen’s with nine digs.

With the loss, the Gaels’ record fell to 7-3. Queen’s will return to the court next weekend, hosting the York Lions Friday, Jan. 19 and Saturday, Jan. 20 at the Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC). Tickets to the games can be purchased on the Queen’s Gaels tickets website.
