KINGSTON, On (November 18, 2023) Queen’s Women’s Volleyball fall to Brock in a 3-set match (16-25,19-25,17-25) for their first loss of the season.
The Gaels opened this double-header weekend with a tough match against the Brock Badgers. The Gaels started off neck and neck with the Badgers, until Brock pulled ahead for the win in the first set. In the second set, Queen’s was able to get in a 3-point lead early on, forcing Brock into timeout. The scoreboard was tied at both 10 and 13 points, until the Badgers ultimately edged the Gaels out, closing the set 25-19. While Queen’s continued to fight, Brock also won the third set.
Hannah Duchesneau closed the game with 9 kills, while Mary Stewart registered 6. Amanda Siksna was not far behind with 5 kills.
The Gaels recorded 9 blocks, compared to the Badgers with 8.
With the loss, the Gaels’ record falls to 4-1 and the Badgers remain undefeated.
Queen’s are back on the court Sunday November, 19 at 2:00PM at the ARC as they take on the Brock Bagers once again.
