The anticipation in the air was palpable as the Tait McKenzie Centre buzzed with excitement. The stands were packed with eager fans ready to witness the thrilling showdown between these two talented teams.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The game began with Brock securing an early 7-point lead, putting pressure on York. However, York mounted a swift comeback, with Victoria Herrington delivering their first kill of the season. Their determined effort paid off as they won the first set with a score of 25-21.

  • In the second set, the Lions were the beneficiaries of a couple service errors from the Badgers. Despite a closely contested second set, the Badgers secured the victory with a score of 25-18.

  • Herrington showcased her skill by securing the first kill of the third set for the Lions. However, they fell by a score of 25-15 in the third, going down 2-1. The fourth set saw the Lions making a valiant effort to square things up, but the Badgers pulled away late to win the set 25-16 and the match 3-1.
